Brian Griffin Won’t Be Coming Back to ‘Family Guy’!
The Griffin family has faced a tragic loss and so have their numerous fans. One of the most loved characters, Brian Griffin has been killed and it looks like there’s no coming back for him. In the November 24th episode, the beloved pooch was hit by a car. If you were expecting him to return through reincarnation or maybe some other way, chances are you shouldn’t get your hopes up. Stewie has disassembled the time machine. If that’s not enough to convince you of “no more Brian”, there’s another piece of information that’ll just blow you away.
Family Guy has a new dog in town named Vinnie. He will be voiced by Sopranos star Tony Sirico. This new dog is here for six episodes and he might just stay around for longer. Fans will have a hard time moving on after Brian’s passing but Vinnie might be a good dog, too.
If you’re thinking why such a lovable character could be let go of, here is your answer. Executive Producer, Steve Callaghan spoke to E! Online and said,
“This was an idea that got pitched in the writers’ room and it sort of caught fire, and we thought it could be a fun way to shake things up… We started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters.”
